Purpose:
- To maintain posture throughout the swing.
- To obtain the feel of the shoulders rotating around the spine.
- To create and feel smooth tempo.
- To feel the response of the lower body that creates weight transfer and balance.
Method:
Standing upright, fold arms on the chest and hold club across the shoulders.
Bend forward from the waist creating a straight back and the feeling of your rear end sticking outward.
Rotate the shoulders forward until the body is facing the target.
As the shoulders actively rotate, the rest of the body is allowed to respond freely. While rotating, allow the weight to transfer to the back foot and then to the front foot ensuring your back foot is on the toe when finished.
