The Better Golf Academy Kids is a division of the Academy dedicated exclusively to Junior golf instruction under the guidance of James Pugliese; the founder of The Better Golf Academy and host of “The Better Golf Academy Presents Better Golf for Kids,” Volume I DVD – a Amazon Bestseller. The Better Golf Academy’s Kids Camps are structured from many years of professional research and work with school children.
At The Better Golf Academy, the instruction begins on the driving range reviewing the six steps of the golf swing. Your child will learn and hone the proper grip, setup, takeaway, backswing, downswing, and finish. He or she will learn the differences between the irons and the woods and how to set up for them, and when to use them on the golf course. At The Better Golf Academy, they realize the importance of the short game-putting, chipping, and pitching, and your child is taught why the short game is so important. Students are given advance tools to use around the golf course, are trained to think through the course, and manage one’s game. Golfers are individuals-and every golfer is taught and treated as such. They feel the better each golfer knows his or her own game, strengths and weaknesses, and style of play, the better they will become. What makes their Junior Golf School even more unique are the tests that measure the child’s strengths and weaknesses, both physically and mentally. Once your child’s strengths and weaknesses are diagnosed, certain drills are prescribed and practiced on that same day. At The Better Golf Academy, golf is not just a game of mechanics and feel, but also a game of self-discovery. Each junior is valued as unique, just as is each player’s golf swing. Their goal is to assist your child in building a strong game through the process of learning, reviewing, and safely practicing.
Junior Golf Schools are offered on Saturdays, Sundays, and certain Mondays falling on holidays or vacations. Both commuter and luxury packages are available.
